Sarah Johnson has been solving visual problems her entire life. She has been a painter, a potter, an illustrator, and a chalk wielder. Conversely, she has been a janitor, a forensic case manager, and an event organizer.
Her innate aesthetic sense and talent for intuitive organization led her to a degree in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Seattle in 2001. Since then, she has been an independent design contractor in both the print and web fields. She has experience designing presentations and maintaining branding at conferences for Microsoft, creating websites for local non-profits, and designing many small business logos and business cards.
Sarah's creativity and knowledge are not limited to two-dimensional art. She also lends her talents dancing with Seattle fire troupe, Spinergy Arts, as well as the professional company Open Flame Dance Theatre. She has taught hula hoop, poi, and staff at Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center and NOVA Alternative High School. She is the "General of Aesthetics" and "Ring Leader" for Seattle industrial art group HazardFactory, with whom she helps produce such events as the Seattle Power Tool Race & Derby. She has also worked on a team to create large scale public art, and enjoys community building .
At home, she plays didjeridu, takes care of a ball python named "Ai," and maintains a hundred gallon aquarium.
